At Emerald Floral House, we take every precaution to ensure your florals look beautiful and perform well on your event day. Because weather can impact the quality, setup, and safety of floral installations, the following policy outlines how we handle weather-related circumstances.

 

Outdoor Events & Temperature Sensitivity

Fresh florals are highly sensitive to heat, cold, wind, and direct sunlight.
To maintain quality and longevity:

• We require shaded, covered, or climate-appropriate placement for all floral items when possible.

• Emerald Floral House reserves the right to adjust placement if an installation area exposes florals to extreme temperatures or conditions that may cause damage.

 

Extreme Heat or Cold

If temperatures exceed safe thresholds for floral longevity (generally above 85°F or below 45°F):

• We may modify delivery times to reduce exposure.

• Certain blooms may be substituted with heat- or cold-tolerant varieties if necessary.

• We may decline to place florals in locations where they will wilt, freeze, or be compromised within a short time frame.

 

Rain, Wind, or Severe Weather

For weather that may affect safety or structural stability:

• Emerald Floral House may delay, modify, or relocate outdoor floral installations for safety reasons.

• High wind or storm conditions may prevent the installation of:

  • Arches or floral structures

  • Hanging pieces

  • Candle displays

  • Delicate or unsecured arrangements

If weather prevents an installation from being safely completed, no refunds will be issued, as florals and labor have already been allocated. We will make every effort to offer an alternate setup location when possible.

 

Client Decision-Making

The client or planner must provide a final weather plan (indoor vs. outdoor) at least 24 hours before setup when weather is uncertain.

If the decision is delayed past this timeframe:

• Emerald Floral House may implement the safest option at our discretion.

• Additional fees may apply for last-minute location changes that require extra labor or transportation.

 

Force Majeure / Acts of Nature

In the event of extreme or unexpected conditions beyond anyone’s control (severe storms, flooding, natural disaster, etc.):

• Payments made may be transferred to a rescheduled date, pending availability.

• If the event cannot be rescheduled, standard cancellation terms apply.

 

No Refunds for Weather-Related Floral Conditions

Because weather is unpredictable and outside of our control:

• Emerald Floral House is not responsible for florals damaged by heat, cold, wind, rain, or other environmental factors once delivered or installed.

• No refunds or credits will be issued for weather-related damage.
